Remaining Simply Human… Just Like the Old Days

I felt it in my heart today; I just wanted to sit down and have a soul-to-soul conversation with you.
Have you noticed lately how quickly we break one another’s heartsı It feels as though everyone is constantly rushing somewhere, caught in a restless race to prove they are the “right” one. Yet, life is far too short to waste on battles that leave us hollow.
Do you remember those old neighborhoodsı Where a single bowl of shared food and a warm greeting meant everything… That is the spirit, the sense of brotherhood we truly miss. There was a time when speaking carefully—thinking, “I wonder how this might make them feelı”—was considered a great nobility. Looking around today, our words have grown so sharp. We forget that while it takes a lifetime to enter a heart, it only takes a moment of carelessness to shatter it.
What is Friendship, Reallyı A true friend isn’t just someone who stands by you in the sunlight. A true friend is the one who places a candle in your hand when your soul feels dark. Today, we don’t need to be “right” as much as we need to be merciful toward one another. Criticizing is the easiest thing in the world, but the real challenge—the real mastery—is choosing not to judge someone without having walked the path they’ve traveled.
Let’s make a decision together today: Let’s not break a single heart. Let’s overlook the small mistakes and distribute a simple smile as if it were an act of grace. We don’t need to share the same opinions to stand in unity; we only need to meet within the same human emotions.
Perhaps we cannot save the whole world, but by brightening one person’s day, we can turn our own world into a sanctuary. Let us be a “light of the soul” (ruhisigi) for one another, so that the darkness recedes on its own.
By the way, have you asked a friend “How are youı” todayı If not, now is the perfect time.
