My Two Favorite Things to Wear: Not Just Clothes, But My State of Mind
Hello dear Friends,
ıWhen asked, “What are your two favorite things to wearı” the pieces that immediately come to mind are those that reflect my current mood, boost my confidence, or make me feel the most comfortable. I know we have many clothes, but some are irreplaceable. They are not just pieces of fabric; they are our gateway to the outside world.
ıIf I had to choose only two items from the wardrobe of my life, the choice would not just be about comfort or style; one would embody action, and the other peace.
ı1. A Well-Fitting Pair of Jeans (Action and Readiness)
ıYes, it might sound ordinary, but a well-fitting, correctly cut pair of jeans is my symbol for being ready and taking action. Whether I’m going for coffee with friends, embarking on a long journey, or heading into a job interview… A pair of jeans that fits my body perfectly automatically gives me that feeling of unconditional confidence. I don’t feel restricted or confined. This is like my armor, giving me the energy to say, “I’m ready for anything, and I can handle whatever comes my way.”
- ıWhy do I love itı Because the more worn out it gets, the more it ages, and the more memories it collects, the more its character grows. Just like life.
ı2. An Oversized, Soft Hoodie (Peace and Retreat)
ıMy second favorite is an oversized, super-soft hoodie that I can get lost in. For me, this represents turning inward, calmness, and isolating myself from the world for a moment. When reading a book by the window on a rainy day, or watching a movie on the couch after a busy day… When I slip into this sweatshirt, all the day’s chaos stays outside. When I pull the hood over my head, the outside noise lessens, and space is made just for my own thoughts.
- ıWhy do I love itı Because it wraps me up in my most vulnerable and comfortable moments. In that moment, I am in a pure state of peace, free from judgment.
ıIn conclusion, these two items in my wardrobe represent the two opposite poles of life: hustle and bustle and rest. One prepares me for the outside world, while the other helps me create a small, safe space just for myself.
